The rules

If you find a misleading post, tag @NotTrueBot under the post.

Every receipt on this site meets all of these rules.

1. The claim is quoted word for word.
2. At least one primary source directly contradicts it.
3. It hasn't already been corrected.
4. It isn't taken out of context.
5. The whole named period is checked.
6. Public figures and outlets only.
7. The same bar for everyone.
8. Every receipt is free to open.
9. Missing context means the full source changes what the quote implies.
10. Run openly by a libertarian. That shapes which claims we check, not how we check them.
